We Want People To Watch Our Content On Our Service – Netflix CEO, Says No To Apple
Netflix CEO confirms the streaming service will not associated with Apple
Apple plans to unveil its new streaming services on March 25, which opens up a new battle between tech industries who are into streaming. Netflix CEO Reed Hastings today confirmed that Netflix will not be part of this Apple’s new service. He clearly said that we want to have people watch our content on our service and not chosen to integrate with Apple service.
We’ve always had massive competitors, Hastings said. We’ve been competing with Amazon in video streaming. These are amazing, large, well-funded companies with very significant efforts. But you do your best job when you have great competitors.
Netflix is the most popular streaming service right-now with millions of subscriber’s base. Apple on the other side had planned to bring its TV and a video streaming service on March 25, Walt Disney and AT&T’s WarnerMedia also have similar plans to introduce their subscriptions based streaming service soon.
Apple service will rely on third party sources to stream content, yet the tech giant has not shared anything on the deliverable content, so sources like Netflix act as a viable options. However after Netflix withdraws its interest we will need to wait and watch what step Apple takes to pitch its streaming service.
