Due to the pandemic Coronavirus outspread 2020 has been an year wherein everything was low-key. Several movies, web series and other projects were delayed. Netflix has now unveiled at its 2021 film slate and its all thing exciting, because there are quite an interesting list of movies slated to be released. The OTT streaming giant gives us the sneak peak from celebs such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Dwayne Johnson, Melissa McCarthy’s upcoming projects.
According to the Deadline, Netflix’s 2021 streaming slate includes around 70 original films—52 of them are live-action, ten are foreign movies and eight are animated features films. What’s creating more buzz about the newly release film slate are the highlights from Don’t Look Up featuring Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence, Timothée Chalamet, Cate Blanchett, Chris Evans, Meryl Streep and Jonah Hill and other stars with their upcoming films. While talking abut this years movie releases on Netflix, Scott Stuber (head of original films for Netflix) informed Deadline that they are their continuation in the YA space with All The Boys and Kissing Booth in a genre they have helped reignite. “We’re most excited about the accumulation of different things,” he said.
