Veteran actress of Bollywood, Neena Gupta never fails to surprise her fans with her screen presence as well as with the way she leads her life like a ‘lady boss’. The actress has unleashed her first-ever book, the autobiography titled, Sach Kahun Toh. While launching this book on Monday i.e June 14, the actress reveals how she was on the verge of getting married to her ex, however, he called off the wedding last moment. She reveals that till today, she doesn’t know the reason for the wedding cancellation.
Neena Gupta got candid with Kareena Kapoor Khan as she launches the book. While talking to the actress, she reveals that the book is a chronicle which she has been writing for the last 20-years. She says the lockdown has given her the opportunity to re-write her story(book). Explaining to Bebo about her then canceled wedding, Neena shared she “would have loved to get married to” the above-mentioned ex, but she accepted her life and “moved forward.”
Neena revealed, “I have talked about that guy I was gonna get married and last minute, I had gone to get my clothes made in Delhi, he called up and he said, ‘I don’t want to marry you.’ Till today I don’t know why. But what can I do? I moved on. I would have loved to get married to him. I had a lot of respect for his father, mother. I was living in their house. He’s going to read, he’s alive, he’s happily married. He has children.”
Further, Bebo asks Neena about whether she was worried before unleashing such unheard stories in her autobiography. The Badhai Ho actress then said, “Yes, I was worried. Especially, when people didn’t know about my dad and moon. I would have not written this if they were alive. My mother who suffered all her life to hide that…and I’m telling the whole world now. I would have not written. It used to bother me sometimes, but now doesn’t.”
