NCB Disputes Rhea Chakraborty And Showik’s Bail For Being Active Members In Drug Cartel?
According To The Latest Reports, The Narcotic Control Bureau Opposes Rhea Chakraborty And Showik's Bail. The Officials Find The Siblings To Be An 'Active Member Of Drug Syndicate'
The Narcotic Control Bureau had arrested Rhea Chakraborty, Showik, Samuel Miranda, Dipesh Sawant and Kshijit Ravi Prasad in the drug nexus probe which is also linked with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case. Several A-listers from the Bollywood industry were interrogated by the officials recently. According to the latest reports, the NCB officials are opposing Rhea and her brother’s bail, as they reportedly found that both of them are the active member of drug syndicate.
According to a report by Republic TV, the Narcotics Control Bureau on Monday i.e September 28 has opposed the bail plea for prime accused Rhea Chakraborty and her brother Showik in their ongoing probe of drug syndicate in Bombay High Court session. In the affidavit filed by the NCB in the Bombay High Court, Sameer Wankhede, the Zonal Director stated that the bail application should be rejected. The portal quoted, “At the onset it is submitted that the application filed by the applicant (Rhea & Showik Chakraborty) is devoid of any merits and therefore deserves to be rejected. Rhea has actively aided, abetted, and financed other accused person for the drug transaction in pursuance criminal conspiracy,” as the affidavit read.
The same report also states that in the affidavit it is also mentioned that there are ample evidence to show that the applicant(Rhea and Showik) have not only regularly dealt but has also financed to illicit trafficking of drugs in Sushant Singh Rajput’s case.
For the unversed, NCB officials after summoning Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor to not give them the clean chit any time soon. The officials are reportedly expecting to summon more bigger names from B-town and this would happen for a month.
