Navi Mumbai: Massive explosion in Ghansoli’s e-toilet injures one

A couple of days before, a massive explosion took place in an e-toilet of the Municipal Corporation of Ghansoli. The explosion took place in the evening. In an unfortunate incident, an 18-year-old identified as Harsh Shingte was critically injured.

The explosion took place in the e-toilet located at Ghansoli Sector 7 near a playground. Harsh Shingte, who lives in the simplex area, was in the toilet when the incident took place. As per the reports, Harsh suffered burn injuries on 40 percent of his body.

He suffered burn injuries on his face and hands. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. As soon as the incident was reported, fire brigade personnel of the Airoli fire station rushed to the spot. However, the cause of the explosion is yet to be ascertained.

It is to be noted that an e-toilet is a sophisticated style of a toilet where one rupee coin has to be inserted to access it. The e-toilet’s mechanism includes an emergency button, a fan, an exhaust fan, automatic flush, and commode cleaner. Generally, e-toilet costs Rs 15 lakh.
