Naseeruddin Shah has been hospitalized in Mumbai after being diagnosed with pneumonia. Currently, he is admitted to Hinduja Hospital in Khar. The news was confirmed by the veteran actor’s manager and told Bombay Times, “Sir was hospitalized on June 29, but he is now doing well. There is a pneumonia patch on his lungs, and the treatment is going on. He might be discharged today or tomorrow.”
His manager also said that Ratna Pathak Shah and their kids are by his side at the hospital.
Now, Shah’s wife and actress Ratna Pathak shared an update on his health and told Pinkvilla, “He is perfectly alright. There is a minor patch on his lung, which they have been treating. He should be discharged by tomorrow hopefully.”
Further, she added, “It’s pneumonia, but it’s fortunately very small and in one little corner so hopefully it won’t require much more work.”
On the work front, Shah was seen last on the big screen in ‘Ramprasad Ki Tehrvi’ co-starring Supriya Pathak, Konkona Sen Sharma, Parambrata Chattopadhyay, Vineet Kumar, Vikrant Massey, Manoj Pahwa, and Vinay Pathak which premiered on Netflix earlier this year. He also appeared in the web series ‘Bandish Bandits,’ Vivek Agnihotri’s ‘The Tashkent Files’ and Zee5’s ‘Mee Raqsam’ in 2020
