Nana Patekar who has been accused of sexual harassment by Tanushree Dutta has reportedly quit Housefull 4. His son, Malhar Patekar announced the actor’s decision of stepping down from the project.
As per a report in DNA, his statement reads, “Nana saheb thought of the convenience of everybody as he wishes the best for the producer and the crew and hence felt that stepping out of the project would be an appropriate thing to do at this point of time.”
The Welcome star has been accused by Tanushree Dutta of harassing her on the sets of Horn Ok Pleasss. She recently filed an FIR against him at the Oshiwara police station.
Director Sajid Khan has also stepped down from the director’s post of Housefull 4 because he was also accused of sexual harassment. His sister Farah Khan and cousin Farhan Akhtar have said that if the accusations were proven to be true, then he would have to atone for his sins.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar, without mentioning any name, had urged the producers of ‘Housefull 4’ to cancel the shoot until further investigation. He even said that he will not work with any proven offenders.
Several Bollywood personalities such as directors Subhash Ghai, Vikas Bahl and Rajat Kapoor, actors such as Alok Nath and singers such as Kailash Kher and Abhijeet have been named in India’s #MeToo movement.
