Naina Singh Quits Kumkum Bhagya: ‘I wasn’t happy with my role’
She shared that she had left the show in February this year
Naina Singh, who played the role of Pragya (Sriti Jha) and Abhi’s (Shabir Ahluwalia) daughter on Kumkum Bhagya, has left the show. Kumkum Bhagya has managed to keep the audience hooked for over six years. However, Naina Singh has decided to part ways with Kumkum Bhagya.

Naina Singh talked to Aaj Tak about her exit from Kumkum Bhagya. She shared that she had left the show in February this year. However, there had been no official statement regarding the same till now. Talking about her exit, Naina Singh said that she left the show because she wasn’t happy with her role. In addition, the Splitsvilla 10 winner had also gotten some other good offers.
“Yes, I have left the serial. However, I left from Kumkum Bhagya in February. But till now nobody had told about this. Now the time has come to tell that I am no longer part of the serial Kumkum Bhagya. I had other good offers coming and the main reason for leaving the show is that I was not happy with my role,” Naina told Aaj Tak.
Moreover, a report from Telly Chakkar states that Nania Singh could be replaced by Maera Mishra. Maera was also a part of Splitsvilla in Season 11. She has won audiences over with shows like Bahu Begum and Maharaj Ki Jai Ho. However, no official announcement has been made in this regard.
Kumkum Bhagya first premiered on Zee TV in April 2014. The show is loosely based on Jane Austen’s 1811 novel Sense and Sensibility.
