Nagaland's Minister for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change and Justice & Law CM Chang passed away at 78
Nagaland’s Minister for Environment, Forest, and Climate Change and Justice & Law CM Chang passed away on Monday (October 12). The minister passed away at the Naga Hospital Authority Kohima (NHAK). He was 78 years old. The reason for his demise is as yet not known.
Abu Metha, advisor of CM of Nagaland took to Twitter to share the news. He wrote, “Condolences on the demise of Mr. CM Chang. He was a retired IAS officer, a former LokSabha MP and a serving minister in the Nagaland Govt. Forthright, respected and always a gentleman. He will be missed. A huge vacuum has been created. RIP.”

CM Chang-an MLA from Noksen(Tuensang) constituency, was a retired IAS officer and former Member of Parliament from Nagaland. The Nagaland Minister had completed his graduation from Guwahati University in Assam. Born in Noksen Village in Tuensang district on April 1, 1942, Chang was a former IAS officer who took voluntary retirement in 2002.
Chang is survived by his wife Alemla and six sons and five daughters.
