COVID-19: Nafisa Ali stuck in Goa amid lockdown, says, she’s running out of medicines
Veteran actress Nafisa Ali revealed in an interview that she's stuck in Goa amidst the COVID-19 lockdown, says, she has no medicines and ration left.
Cancer survivor Nafisa Ali revealed in an interview that she is currently stuck in Goa. Nafisa Ali also spoke about the difficulties she is currently facing due to unfortunate Coronavirus outbreak and how she is deprived of basic ration and medicines.
Talking to Hindustan Times, Nafisa Ali said, “The groceries shops are shut for the last six days. I’m a cancer survivor; I need to eat proper food. I’ve been eating just dry ration for the past many days — there are no vegetable, no fruits. We’re so cut off. I’m in Morjim and people here are having a terrible time. It’s only in Panjim that the situation is fine. My heart goes out to everyone,” said Nafisa.
The 63-year-old actress also said that she and her daughter’s family had plans to stay in Goa for 10 days when they arrived early this month from Delhi but due to the coronavirus scare they had to extend the trip.
“All my medicines are finishing. The courier services are not working so I can’t have them delivered from elsewhere. So what option so I have now? I’m not taking any medicines, which is not good for my health,” she said.
The ‘Guzaarish’ actress also spoke about her niece who had returned from Switzerland, tested positive for COVID-19 in Bangalore, but has now recovered completely. Nafisa also stated that the healing rate is fast, but one needs to get tested and treated for the virus.
For the unversed, Nafisa Ali made her acting debut as a young actor in Junoon, she has also worked in several Bollywood movies such as Bewafaa (2005) Life in A…. Metro (2007) and Yamla Pagla Deewana (2010) and many more.
