Mumbai woman punches BMC official upon getting fined for not carrying mask

The pandemic Coronavirus cases sees a serge in India, the highest contributors in the new COVID-19 wave is Maharashtra, Delhi and few other states. Due to the emerging new numbers of cases the Maharashtra state government has tightened its security and issued strict guidelines. A Mumbai based women punches BMC official after she gets fined for not carrying the mask.

The women was apparently stopped by the BMC officials and she was fined for not wearing a mask. She then took no time to get embroiled in an argument with the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official and after she asked for the fine  she punched the women official. The incident took place in Kandivali area and the video for the same is going viral on the internet. One of the supervisor from BMC,  Prashant Kamble while talking about the incident said, “The video of a woman marshal being assaulted is said to be of Kandivali. Charkop Police are investigating it.”

The women was levied with the fine worth Rs 200 for taking a ride in Rickshaw without mask.

For the unversed,  Maharashtra recorded a massive Covid-19 spike in this year with the new 23,179 cases in 24 hours, out of these 2,377 cases are from Mumbai itself.
