Mumbai has faced a number of fire outbreaks recently. Now, another fire outbreak has been reported at the Delphi Building in Mumbai in the Powai area. This fire broke out during the early hours at around 6:15 am as per reports. It was confined to the 3,000 sq ft office area on the 5th floor. There have been no reported injuries and 3 small engine lines of 5 fire motor pumps are in operation to contain the fire. More details about the incident are expected soon.
Mumbai also experienced a fire outbreak at Usha Kiran building on Carmichael Road on June 28. As per reports, the incident occurred in a car park causing damage to five cars. Another fire was also reported at the Kurla scrap compound on Mankhurd-Ghatkopar Link Road in Maharashtra on June 23.
In addition, three other incidents of fire outbreak in Mumbai were reported on June 25.
The first of these fires occurred at a plastic factory at Nanddham Industrial Estate in Marol. However, it was contained to the ground floor. The second fire was reported at Jolly Maker Chambers- 2 at Jamanalal Bajaj Marg in Nariman Point. It spread to an area of about 4000 sq ft of Bank of Bahrain and Kuwait that are located on the ground floor of the building. The last reported incident was the Raghuvanshi Mills fire. It took place at around 9:28 am and the intensity of the fire climbed up to Level-4 by the afternoon. The fire was contained by fire brigade personnel after almost nine hours. Eight fire engines and six jumbo tankers assisted in the fire fighting efforts.
