Mumbai: Boat carrying Maharashtra govt officials capsizes near Shivaji Smarak
On Wednesday, a boat carrying Maharashtra government officials including the chief secretary and 20 others capsized off the Mumbai coast.
According to The Indian Express, a passenger boat carrying Maharashtra chief secretary and over 20 others has capsized near Shivaji Smarak in Mumbai. The capsized boat belongs to the Maharashtra government. While most of the passengers have been rescued by the Coast Guard, one person is feared missing.
The Coast Guard said, “Coast Guard hovercraft has reached the spot. Our choppers are also involved in the rescue.”
