Bole Chudiyan: Producer calls Mouni Roy ‘unprofessional’ and ‘irresponsible’; here’s what her rep has to say
Mouni Roy's spokesperson said that she has always been professional in her career.
A few days back we came across the news of Mouni Roy starring opposite Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s Bole Chudiyan, but now the actress is no longer part of the movie. This news has been confirmed by the producer himself. Rajesh Bhatia, the producer said in a statement: “We have invested a big amount of money and if asking someone in a civil manner to be professional and be committed to the role is being rude, then, sorry, we are in the serious business of making movies with high stakes and it’s not a hobby.”
“From the time we have signed her, she and her agency Toabh have been highly unprofessional and irresponsible, even after signing the MOU and paying her. Even for the final narration held two days back, she walked in at 5.30 PM for a 3 PM narration, embarrassing the producers, director and actor.”
The statement further read: “As for the role, it’s one of the best scripts. The role of the girl in the film is central… It is amusing to hear her complaining. Frankly, I think she knows she is guilty and is just trying to defend herself from being in the news.”
But Mouni’s spokesperson has another story to tell. “Mouni has done many films before and has had a successful career, where everyone has vouched for her professionalism. Mr Rajesh Bhatia… is now claiming that Mouni is not a professional, whereas there are several emails and text messages proving otherwise. Even the contract isn’t signed because of the discrepancies in it,” the spokesperson told IANS.
Now, as Mouni has quit the movie, let’s see who will replace her.
