Mohan Bhagwat, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief on Ram Mandir urged that Supreme Court should deliver its judgment at the earliest. While addressing in Nagpur, Bhagwat said that it has been proved that the temple was there, but the Supreme Court is not giving priority to the Ayodhya issue.
Mohan Bhagwat said, “Justice delayed is justice denied.” Once again, Bhagwat demanded that Modi government should pass a law as soon as possible to start work on constructing the Ram temple and urged the “common people” to stand up for the issue.
In the meantime, Ramji Das of Nirmohi Akhara speaking at VHP’s Dharam Sabha today said that the dates for the construction of Ram temple to be announced in earlier 2019 during Kumbh in Prayagraj. He also requested people to wait for more few days and show patience.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi attacked the Congress for delaying the construction of Ram Mandir and added that it is delaying the matter in the Supreme Court to create hurdles in the construction of Ram temple at Ayodhya.
Modi also accused the Congress of playing a “dangerous game” of threatening the top court judges with impeachment.
Modi was referring to Congress leader and senior advocate Kapil Sibal, who had urged the Supreme Court to defer hearing in the Ram Janmabhoomi-Babri Masjid title suit till July 2019.
Earlier in the day, Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray warned BJP government saying that Hindus sentiment should not be taken for granted.
After offering prayer at the Ram Lalla temple, Thackeray addressed the media and said, “If the matter has to be resolved by the Supreme Court, then it should not be made a poll issue during the election campaign.”
Thackeray also came down heavily on Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanth, saying that Yogi said that there was a Ram Temple in Ayodhya and there will always be one. “But when will it be visible… it should be constructed at the earliest,” Thackeray asked.
