Mohammed Aziz, a Veteran Bollywood singer breathed his last today. He was 64-year-old. As per the report, he died because of Cardiac arrest in Nanavati hospital in Mumbai.
Mohammed Aziz was on his way back to Mumbai from Kolkata when suffered cardiac arrest. He was taken to Nanavati Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Taking to social media, the famous comedian Jonny Lever’s brother Jimmy Moses shared the news. While talking to Peepingmoon, Jimmy said, “Mohammed Aziz was in Kolkata for a show which happened last night. He took a flight this afternoon and landed at 4:30 in Mumbai. He then took a cab from the Mumbai airport but started feeling uneasy soon after. He was then taken to the Nanavati hospital where the doctors informed that he is no more.”
Mohammed Rafi was Aziz’s favourite singer. Aziz made her singing debut with Bengali film Jyoti. He moved to Mumbai and sang for the 1984 Hindi film Ambar. Music composer Anu Malik gave him a break in the movie Mard for which he sang ‘Mard Taangewala’.
Later, Aziz worked with Kalyanji-Anandji, Laxmikant-Pyarelal, Rahul Dev Burman, Naushad, O. P. Nayyar, Bappi Lahiri, Rajesh Roshan, Raamlaxman, Ravindra Jain, Usha Khanna, Anand-Milind, Nadeem-Shravan, Jatin Lalit, Anu Malik, Damodar Raao, Anand Raj Anand and Aadesh Shrivastava.
Mohammed Aziz was popularly known for rendering some of the popular Bollywood numbers like ‘My name is Lakhan’, ‘Teri Bewafai Ka Shikwa’ several others.
