Veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty, one of the most loved and popular actors in Indian cinema, has been hospitalised and is undergoing treatment for a chronic back pain in Los Angeles, California.
Reports claimed that Disco Dancer actor had been suffering from the backache issue for a long time. And although he had earlier been treated for the same issue, the backache pain had aggravated in the last few days, which compelled his family to take him to LA for further treatment.
The actor was hospitalised for the treatment and has his son Mahaakshay Chakraborty (Mimoh) and daughter-in-law Madalsa Sharma by his side in America.
The backache issue had actually occurred over a decade back in 2006 when the 66-year-old was shooting for the Imran Khan, Shruti Hasan starrer ‘Luck.’ The incident happened during a stunt scene in which Mithun had to jump from a flying Helicopter, The actor performed the scene but hurt his back in the process and has been living with it ever since.
He underwent treatment for the same problem in 2016 and is currently being treated for the same issue in LA.
A report in Times of India, however, informed that the actor is responding to the treatment and will recover soon.
On the professional front, Mithun was last seen in the Anil Sharma directorial Genius, his only release this year. The film also had Utkarsh Sharma and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in prominent roles. He will next be seen in an untitled horror film by Ram Gopal Verma and The Tashkent Files by director Vivek Agnihotri.
