Actress and show creator Mindy Kaling secretly gave birth to a baby boy early in September. Mindy is also mother to 2-year-old Katherine Kaling. The Office star shared the good news on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The actress also revealed the name of her son as Spencer Kaling. Her news left Colbert and fans stunned.

Mindy told Stephen Colbert, “I’m telling it for the first time now, it feels so strange. But I gave birth to a baby boy on September 3. Stephen Colbert exclaimed that “No one even knew you were pregnant.” To which, Kaling said, “This is news to a lot of people, it’s true.”
Mindy added, “His name is Spencer. I forgot the most important part of it.”
The chat show shared the video of Mindy Kaling’s announcement on Instagram. They wrote, “@mindykaling joins @stephenathome tonight and has the best kind of news(sic).”

Mindy is also mother to 2-year-old Katherine Kaling. Mindy was able to hide her pregnancy because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. She and her daughter have been social distancing in her Los Angeles home.
Recently, Mindy Kaling released her second book, Nothing Like I Imagined (Except for Sometimes). In the collection of personal essays, she opened up about motherhood and the possibility of expanding her family once more.
Kaling will also be collaborating with Priyanka Chopra in an untitled wedding comedy-drama to be shot in India.
