As 'Hannah Montana' completes 15 years today, Miley Cyrus penned a heartfelt note to her iconic alter-ego
Today marks Miley Cyrus’s popular television sitcom Hannah Montana’s 15 years. The series premiered in March 2006 to the largest audience for a Disney Channel program and soon after, it ranked among the highest-rated series. It aired for four years till January 2011.
The series centers on Miley Stewart aka Miley Cyrus, a teenage girl living a double life as famous pop singer Hannah Montana, an alter ego she adopted so she could maintain her anonymity and live a normal life as a typical teenager. a. The show also featured the ‘Wrecking Ball’ singer’s real father, and singer Billy Ray Cyrus, as well as Emily Osment, Mitchell Musso, and Jason Earl Jones.
On Thursday, Cyrus took to social media to share a heartfelt note and pay tribute to Hannah Montana. She captioned the post as: “Dear @HannahMontana, I still love you 15 years later. #HMForever”

In the note, she penned how Hannah Montana helped her in many ways than she had anticipated and described her relationship with her on-screen alter-ego. She also looked back at her journey from singing ‘I Love Rock ‘N Roll’ in a friend’s Nashville kitchen to making it to Hollywood.
Further, she remembered the time how she lost her grandfather, who she referred to as Pappy while filming for the first season of the television show. She also recalled a hilarious and embarrassing story when she first got her periods wearing a white Capri. The singer opened up on the struggles she faced while growing up and filming the Disney show.
