#MeToo: Subhash Kapoor to be removed from Jolly LLB franchise?
After Tanushree Dutta spearheaded #MeToo movement in India, many bollywood names such as Alok Nath, Rajat Kapoor, Subhash Ghai, Subhash Kapoor, Sajid Khan and more were accused of sexual harassment.
Subhash Kapoor, who was a part of Mogul earlier, was dropped by the makers after Aamir Khan cited walking out of the film with Shubhash still being there. Kapoor had scripted and was about to direct the film as well.
As per a report in DNA, Subhash might also be dropped from Jolly LLB series because of the sexual harassment allegations against him. He was accused by actress Geetika Tyagi in 2014.
Fox Star Studios, which produced the Jolly LLB series, have zero tolerance for sexual offenders. Akshay Kumar who plays the protagonist, has made it clear he won’t work with anyone linked to sexual offences. Housefull 4 director Sajid Khan also had been fired because he was alleged of sexual harassment. Pinkvilla quoted a source saying, “Housefull 4 director Sajid Khan also, who is accused of sexual misconduct, had to be fired on Akshay’s say-so. Subhash Kapoor too will have to go.”
On the other hand, Vikas Bahl, who was accused of sexual harassment as well, has reportedly returned to Super 30 for the post-production work. Super 30 stars Hrithik Roshan among others in lead roles.
