#MeToo hits Tata motors, corporate communications chief sent on leave
Tata Motors Ltd has sent its chief of corporate communications on leave after he was alleged of sexual misconduct by female employees.
An indian journalist had posted screenshots on her Twitter account and alleged him of sexual miscnduct.
The company said that it has asked Suresh Rangarajan “to proceed on leave in order to allow for an objective enquiry to be completed as swiftly as possible”.
Tata Motors’s statement read: At Tata Motors, we have always striven to ensure a respectful and safe workplace for everyone. Any allegations are investigated and appropriate action is taken immediately.This matter has already been taken up for investigation by the internal complaints committee, set up as per law. Any such behaviour is against the Tata code of conduct and appropriate action will be taken as soon as the enquiry is completed.”

Prominent men in India are facing accusations of harassment, with the microblogging site being used to allege instances of wrongdoing by men in various fields such as entertainment, politics and media. The new wave of MeToo sparked off when Tanushree Dutta alleged Nana Patekar of sexual harassment on the sets of 2008 film Horn Ok Pleasss.
