Britain’s Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex gave the first glimpse of their baby boy on Wednesday. The newborn was seen wrapped in a white blanket and wearing a white cap. Baby Sussex was born on May 6. The name of the newborn is not yet decided.
The couple is on cloud nine to welcome their first baby. Meghan Markle said, “It’s magic, it’s pretty amazing. I have the two best guys in the world so I’m really happy. He has the sweetest temperament, he’s really calm … he’s just been the dream.”
Harry then said, “I don’t know where he gets that from. Parenting is amazing. But we’re just so thrilled to have our own bundle of joy and to spend precious time with him as he slowly, slowly starts to grow up.”
The couple will introduce their bundle of joy to Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip later Wednesday. Baby Sussex is Queen’s eighth great-grandchild.
The news of the birth of the newborn was announced on the official handle of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The post read as: “We are pleased to announce that Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Sussex welcomed their firstborn child in the early morning on May 6th, 2019. Their Royal Highnesses’ son weighs 7lbs. 3oz.”
