One of the most-anticipated films ever since its announcement has been Matrix 4. The Keanu Reeves starter has finally received its official title. The official title of the movie was recently showcased at CinemaCon in Las Vegas by Warner Bros with an action-packed trailer. CinemaCon is the annual national convention for theatre owners.
The Matrix 4, is officially titled The Matrix Resurrections. Though the trailer is not available online as yet. According to Deadline, the trailer showcased Keanu Reeves character ‘Neo’ talking to a therapist, played by Neil Patrick Harris. “Am I crazy?” he asks. “We don’t use that word in here,” Harris’ character replies. Later Neo comes across Carrie Anne Moss’ Trinity in a cafe, asking “have we met?”
The trailer also showcases some hi-end gravity-defying action stunts and acrobatics. Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Jonathan Groff also make an appearance in the first footage.
Directed by Lana Wachowski The Matrix Resurrections also features Priyanka Chopra, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, Jada Pinkett Smith and Daniel Bernhardt. The Matrix Resurrections hits theatres and HBO Max on December 22.
Warner also showcased clips from The Batman(March 4, 2022) and Dune (Oct. 22), as well as footage from James Wan’s Malignant, Clint Eastwood’s Cry Macho, The Sopranos prequel The Many Saints of Newark and the Will Smith starrer King Richard.
