Movie Review:

Lokesh Kanagaraj’s most awaited directorial has finally hit the screens. The Thalapathy Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi’s mass entertainer is a perfect gift for fans on the festive occasion of Pongal. The story of the film is all about a juvenile correction home. John Durairaj (JD)(Vijay) an alcoholic professor enters the correctional home but has to confront Bhavani (Vijay Sethupathi) to stop him from corrupting the naive minds of the youngsters and turning them into criminals.

Master sees a new-age filmmaker trying his hand at the commercial cinema and coming out a winner for sure. Thalapathy Vijay once again will win you over with his usual swag. His larger than life entry has fans dancing in aisles. His emotional scenes are the plus points of the movie. Vijay Sethupathi as the lord of correctional facility leaves us impressed with his menacing avatar. He surely has some seeti maar witty dialogues. Arjun Dass impressed the audiences with his impeccable dialogue delivery.

The background score is too good to be missed and lends a boost to the entire film. The things that remain with you long after the movie ends are Vijay’s “mass and class” performances and the action-packed face-off between him and Sethupathi in the climax.

The supporting characters like Andrea, Shantanu, Gouri Kishan and Sriman add to the story. Master is a perfect gift for fans on Pongal and a BlockBuster for sure.
