AR Rahman takes a dig at Masakali 2.0; Asks fans to enjoy the original song
AR Rahman slams Masakali's remix version featuring Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria, says, 'Enjoy the Original to his fans.
Sidharth Malhotra and Tara Sutaria‘s ‘Masakali 2.0’ has been dropped over the internet recently. The song received mixed reactions from the fans. Fans were wondering how the original composer AR Rahman will react to the remixed version. The latest is created by Tanishk Bagchi and sung by Tulsi Kumar and Sachet Tandon. Whereas the original was composed by music maestro A R Rahman and sung by Mohit Chauhan. The song featured in Abhishek Bachchan and Sonam Kapoor starrer ‘Delhi 6’.
The original composer has reacted. AR Rahman took to Twitter and expressed his views on the recreated version of his popular song. Looks like the Oscar winner is not happy.
AR Rahman refrained from commenting on the new version but told his fans that a lot of work went into the making of the song. He wrote, “Enjoy the original #Masakali. No short cuts, properly commissioned, sleepless nights, writes and re-writes. Over 200 musicians, 365 days of creative brainstorming with the aim to produce music that can last generations. A team of a Director, a Composer and a Lyricist supported by actors, dance directors, and a relentless film crew.” – Lots of love and prayers A.R. Rahman.”
