For the demand Maratha reservation,the Bandh has been called-off in Mumbai, Thane and Raigad. In the agitation of the Marathas, in Nalasopara region of Mumbai, saw some infiltrators by regular mobs.
After the demise of Kakasaheb Shinde, Maratha Morcha became violent and a ‘Bandh’ was called in Mumbai, Thane, Raigad and Palghar on Wednesday. A protest march was also found in Nalasopara. However, the protests threw to light some infiltrators in the march. The Morcha which started on Wednesday afternoon at Nalasopara flyover and the saw a large number of youth turn unruly. Two young men in the crowd did not pay heed to the police instructions and continued protesting. However, the police suspected these two youth and arrested them. On further questioning they found out that one youth was named Chauhan and the other was named Pandey.
Police said that both Chauhan and Pandey had entered the rally and revealed their names during questioning. However, due to infiltration of these Maratha protests by other mobs, the situation went out of control.
Meanwhile, Home Minister Deepak Kesarkar also made an indicative statement on whether the infiltration took place in the march. “There have been unrestrained protests in the presence of millions of people for the Maratha reservation till date. However, the march started a violent turn. He said that if there are some infiltrators in this rally, they will have to investigate, but it is not right to comment more about it.”
