Maratha Kranti Morcha: CM Fadnavis ready to initiate ‘talks’

After the Marathi Kranti Morcha that took place in Maharashtra today, that the state government has decided to take various decisions regarding the topic of ‘Maratha” reservation.The Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis has released a statement saying that he is ready to initiate talks.

The statement reads, “The state government took many decisions for the Maratha community. The state government is fully committed to give reservations to the Maratha community in general. That is why the state government has enacted the law. However the High Court has put a stay on the law. Then the state government had asked the matter to be taken to the he Supreme Court. Since the courts haven’t clearly issued an official statement on the reservation, the state government is waiting for the reply”.

However, the BJP run state government in Maharashtra has agreed to help backward classes to complete constitutional action in this regard. Constitutional proposals are being prepared in this law. Therefore, the state government is sincerely trying to do whatever is in its possession.

Apart from this, the state government is giving 50% reduction in educational fee for the 602 courses through the Chhatrapati Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Educational Fee Reimbursement Scheme. So far students have benefitted about 2 lakhs worth of subsidized education. A widespread program has been taken to create a hostel for the students of Maratha community in every district, out of which, 2 workshops are in the final phase.
