Manoj Tiwari: My tweets not in relation to team selection
Indian batsman Manoj Tiwari was recently left out from either of India A and India B sides for the quadrangular series. His tweets post the team selection came into limelight as he was said to be upset from the selectors decision to exclude him from the tournament.
But the middle order batsman who has loads of domestic runs under his kitty, clarified that it wasn’t targeted towards selectors and had nothing to do with team selection.

“First of all, let me clarify that I haven’t tweeted anything regarding the team selection. I just asked the statistician regarding a stat which I was curious to know. That’s it. But it’s true that I haven’t heard anything from the selectors.”, said Manoj Tiwari.
The 32 year old averaged over 100 in the two List A tournaments in the last season whereas in Vijay Hazare Trophy, he scored 328 runs at an average of 109.33. Due to his consistent performance he made it to India B for the Deodhar Trophy where he scored 179 runs in two innings at an average of 179.00 in March, comprising a century against Karnataka.
“I didn’t get many opportunities to play in this season of IPL whereas I had an outstanding season last year, where our team reached finals.”, he added.
The Bengal skipper has averaged over 100 in Deodhar Trophy and Vijay Hazare Trophy in the same year.
