Manoj Bajpayee’s Father R.K Bajpayee Passes Away

National Award-winning actor Manoj Bajpayee‘s father R.K Bajpayee passed away on Sunday morning. 83-year-old Radhakant Bajpayee, a Padmashree winner, had been unwell for the past few days. He breathed his last in Delhi. The funeral took place at Delhi’s Nigam Bodh Ghat at 1.30 PM.

As reported by sources to News 18, Manoj’s father condition was very critical for the past few days. He was admitted to a hospital in Delhi. Reportedly Manoj Bajpayee was not in Delhi with his father when he breathed his last. The actor was in Kerala shooting for his upcoming project. The Family Man actor rushed to Delhi after hearing this news.

As per Manoj Bajpayee’s team, The Family man actor is currently not in the state of mind to talk to the media. He has requested privacy for himself and his family.

In an earlier interview, the actor had opened up on the close bond he shares with his father. Manoj had said, “I came from my village in Bihar to Delhi at the age of 18. I joined Delhi University, Finishing my graduation was my father’s dream. He did not want me to leave my studies. So I really wanted to fulfil his dreams and somehow managed to complete the course and get a degree.”

On the work front, Manoj won accolades for the second season of hit OTT series Family Man 2. He was also a partof the hit OTT series Dial 100 and Silence on ZEE5 and Netflix anthology Ray. He will be next seen in Kurup and Despatch.
