Manikarnika trailer: Kangana Ranaut as Rani Laxmibai will leave you wanting for more
The much awaited trailer of Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi trailer is finally released. This period film, which has been in the news since some time tells the valiant tale of Queen Laxmibai who fought the British in the Mutiny of 1857.
Apparently, Kangana has invested a lot in the film. After the filmmaker Radha Krishna Jagarlamudi aka Krish quit the project due to various reasons she took over the directorial reins of the film.
Kangana’s passionate performance as the queen and the terrific action scenes are the highlight of the trailer. The film is also special for fans of Ankita Lokhande because this films marks her debut in Bollywood. In the film she essays the role of Jhalkaribai, who is Laxmibai’s aide also helped her escape by sacrificing her own life.
Reportedly, the actress worked overtime to ensure that Manikarnika was completed on schedule. One of the major highlights of the film is the action sequences that are choreographed by the Hollywood stunt director, Nick Powell.
The Queen actress has worked extensively on the post-production of the film. As-a-matter-of-fact shoot of the film and making of the teaser was happening simultaneously in October. In the teaser of the movie, ther is some fierce battle shown between the British army and Manikarnika. Notably, Rani Laxmibai has been the embodiment of the courage and resilience of Indian women since decades.
The movie will hit the silver screens on January 25, 2019.
