‘Manikarnika’: This is what Sushant Singh has to say about ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande’s first look

The first look of television actress Ankita Lokhande, from her debut film ‘Manikarnika’, has been unveiled by the makers of the period drama. The ‘Pavitra Rishta’ fame beauty will be depicting the role of Jhalkari Bai in her debut film – ‘Manikarnika’. A woman soldier in Rani Laxmibai’s army, Jhalkari Bai eventually rose to the position of an advisor to the Queen. The movie features Kangana Ranaut in the titular role.

Casting director Mukesh Chhabra shared the first look on his Instagram handle.

Ankita is looking fierce in the first look and was soon flooded with wishes from friends and fans who loved her look. Ex-Boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput also commented on the first look and wrote a warm message.

Ankita and Sushant have been in a relationship since they fell in love on the sets of ‘Pavitra Rishta’. The couple sent a shockwave among their fans when they parted ways in 2015. Since then, the couple have moved on in life.

‘Manikarnika’ also stars Atul Kulkarni as Tatya Tope, Suresh Oberoi as Bajirao, Danny Denzongpa as Nana Sahib, Jisshu Sengupta as Gangadhar Rao and Ankita Lokhande as Jhalkaribai. According to Shariq Patel, CEO, Zee Studios, the film will hit the theatres in over 50 countries on January 25, 2019.
