Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah is undoubtedly one of the most famous and longest-running watched Hindi shows on television. The show went on air on 28 July 2008 and is based on the column Duniya Ne Undha Chashma written by columnist and journalist/playwright Taarak Mehta for the Gujarati weekly magazine Chitralekha.
Even after 12 years, the show is one of the most loved comedy shows and has become a fundamental part of its viewers’ lives. Recently, a post has been doing rounds on the social media where a son is acknowledging the show, its team, and the makers for bringing about a smile on his father’s face as he was in the ICU after undergoing a brain stroke.
The post was shared by Akshay Mathur on Facebook and he captioned the photo, “So my dad suffered a brain stroke and was in the ICU for almost 6 days. The first thing he asked me to put on the television once he was shifted to a ward was Tarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashma. Luckily there was a scene of Jetha and Babita going on and I could see him smiling. Such is the power of this show. This is a small tribute to the show and its makers!”
TMKOC‘s producer Asit Kumarr Modi shared the screenshot to his Twitter page, he captioned it, “Thank you for your love. Your love inspires us.”
