Delhi: Man kills friend in drunken brawl

In a drunken brawl, a man killed his friend in Samaypur Badli area, Delhi. Police is yet to nab the culprit, The murder weapon is recovered though.

In New Delhi today, a man was allegedly shot dead by his friend while they were drinking in Samaypur Badli, according to the police.

The police also said that incident took place on the intervening night of yesterday and today. They further added that the victim and the accused, who is yet to be arrested yet, are around 30 years old.

Commenting on the matter, police said, “The victim had gone to his friend’s rented flat at Samaypur Badli when the shooting took place. It is a suspected case of drunken brawl.”

Further on, police said that investigation is on and it is yet to ascertain the exact cause that led to the shooting. They revealed that the alleged weapon used in the crime has been recovered.

In the meantime, the Mumbai Crime Branch on Saturday has arrested a retired Navy Captain for allegedly duping people of Rs 36 lakh on the pretext of giving them jobs in the Indian Navy.

The retired Navy Captain- Trinetra, who operated Saraswati Academy in Vishakhapatnam, had promised people a sure shot job in Indian Navy in Mumbai.

The scam came to light after six students who were enrolled in Trinetra’s academy approached the police and filed a complaint against him.
