Bollywood Singham Ajay Devgn after a blockbuster release Tanhaji, will next be seen in a biopic. The actor will be depicting the role of legendary coach Syed Abdul Rahim, who is said to be the founding father of Indian football. As Maidaan will show a series of football matches played in the backdrop of different countries. The makers revealed that they have invited the best football players across the world to come and play in the film.
In an interview with Spotboye, Amit Sharma said, “We have invited football players from all across the world to come and play in our matches for Maidaan: Japan, South Korea, France, Thailand… there is some problem getting Australian players to come to India because the country is under lockdown.”
He added, “In fact, the players from Thailand are already here. They have been waiting for me to recover from COVID. We start shooting them on April 4.”
He further added that there will be no compromise on the quality of the film that is based on the golden Years Of Indian Football.
Maidaan also features Family Man actress Priyamani as the female lead.
On the work front, Ajay Devgn has a full diary. He will be seen Bhuj: The Pride Of India, which will stream on Disney Hotstar. The film also features Sanjay Dutt, Sonakshi Sinha, Nora Fatehi and others in pivotal roles. He also has a cameo in Sooryavanshi featuring Akshay Kumar. He also has RRR in his kitty.
