Mahesh Babu Does Not Want To Do Social Message Oriented Films For THIS Reason
Here's why Mahesh Babu does not want to sign any social message oriented movies.
Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu — who is known for doing social message-oriented movies — seems to have decided to avoid social message-oriented movies for a while. Yes, you read that right. According to the report, Mahesh Babu, who has already delivered enough messages to society, thinks that people might feel his messages very heavy and unbearable.
Post the humungous success of Maharshi which was based on the friendship and farming, Mahesh Babu had said that his fans have been wanting to see him an action avatar like had previously done in Dookudu and he also feels the same.
In the last few years, Mahesh Babu has delivered multiple superhit movies like Srimanthudu, Bharat Ane Nenu, Maharshi and Sarileru Neekevvaru. However, by his own admission, he had decided to take a break from doing back to back message-oriented films.
“A lot of my fans have been wanting to see me in an action entertainer like Dookudu, and it was on my mind too. I need to connect with the story emotionally and only then can I put my heart and soul into it. So, when Anil Ravipudi pitched this story, I felt that I got a solid script in my hands to get back to the commercial cinema space after a long time,” he had told The News Minute.
“Sice I’ve been wanting to get out of my comfort zone for a long time, I felt that it was the right time to do Sarileru Neekevvaru right after Maharshi. Films like Srimanthudu, Bharat Ane Nenu, and Maharshi have a strong story and I’ve to surrender myself to do what the role demands. There are boundaries which you can’t cross because the characters are meant to behave in a certain way,” he added.
Mahesh Babu wants to work in action movies and that could be the reason why he had rejected Vamsi Paidipally’s movie, which had a strong social message in it.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Mahesh Babu will next be seen playing a cameo in megastar Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film tentatively titled Acharya. According to reports, Mahesh Babu is charging a whopping Rs 1 cr per day for the film.
