Mahesh Babu’s Maharshi completes 50 days at the box office

Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde starrer Maharshi released on May 9 and took the box office by storm specially in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The movie has completed 50 days in 200 centres today and the makers have shared the news on Twitter. The team was about to celebrate the completion of the 50 Days of the movie on June 28th from 6 pm in Shilpa Kala Vedika but now the event is postponed apparently due to Mahesh Babu’s mother Vijaya Nirmala’s death.

Mahesh Babu gives a strong message with Maharshi. It is a story of a high profile businessman in the US who returns to his homeland and works for the poor.

Apart from Mahesh Babu and Pooja Hegde, the movie also had stars like Allari Naresh, Jagapathi Babu, Prakash Raj, Meenakshi Dixit, Rao Ramesh, Vennela Kishore, Vidyullekha Raman, and Posani Krishna Murali among others. Produced by Dil Raju, C Ashwini Dutt and Prasad V Potluri, the action-drama is directed by Vamsi Paidipally who has also written the script and dialogues for the film.

Mahesh Babu is now gearing up for the shooting of his next film, Sarileru Neekevvaru that would be directed by Anil Ravipudi. The title poster of Sarileru Neekevvaru was released recently and it was lauded by netizens on social media. The movie also has Rashmika Mandanna opposite Mahesh Babu.
