After venturing into movie production and textile business, South superstar Mahesh Babu is all set to launch his own OTT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Hotstar. There have been reports doing rounds on social media that Mahesh Babu has finalized a deal with an existing OTT platform and will be making original contents for them but now Mahesh Babu seems to have changed his mind to decided to launch his own OTT platform.
According to reports, the discussions are going on with corporate media companies in Mumbai for the partnership. Notably, Mahesh Babu would not be the first Telugu celebrity who will launch his own OTT platform, earlier Mega Producer Allu Aravind had launched his own OTT platform named, Aha.
The last film that Allu Aravind had produced was Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde starrer Ala Vaikuntapuramlo. It was directed by Trivikram Srinivas and bankrolled jointly by Allu Aravind and S Radha Krishna under the banners Geetha Arts and Haarika & Hassine Creations respectively.
If anything to go by the report, the first project under the new OTT platform will be a film featuring south actor Adivi Sesh, who had previously starred in movies like Evaru alongside Regina Cassandra, Goodachari and Kshanam.
For the unversed, Mahesh Babu and his wife Namrata have already ventured into all various businesses. Yes, you read that right, they have AMB Multiplex in Hyderabad and a production house called GMB Entertainments. Mahesh Babu had recently launched his own textile business Humble.
The report further states that Namrata Shirodkar has finalized a few scripts and will begin work soon, after making a formal announcement about the digital streaming platform. Now all eyes are on Mahesh Babu to see when he makes a formal announcement about his digital streaming platform.
We all know how huge fan following superstar Mahesh Babu has in the Tollywood and if he launches the OTT platform, it is most likely to get a better response than Allu Aravind’s Aha.
