Actors and former ‘Bigg Boss’ contestants Ashmit Patel and Maheck Chahal, who were in a steady relationship for a long time, have parted ways. The couple who got engaged in August 2017, are no more together. The couple who have been living together for some time now have reportedly broken up after five years together due to some problems in their relationship.
As reported by a source to TOI, “They got engaged in August 2017 and were planning a destination wedding a year later. However compatibility issues cropped up and so, they decided to push the wedding. Things gradually deteriorated, and a few months ago, they finally parted ways.”
Maheck claimed that she has broken off with Ashmit, the latter maintained silence over the matter but confirmed that they have indeed separated.
In a statement to TOI, Maheck Chahal said, “I left Ashmit. I had to take that step and walk out.”
On his part, Ashmit said, “It’s true that we are no longer together. I would request privacy on this matter, and would not like to comment.”
Ashmit and Maheck knew each other for 12 years back but they had started dating each other in 2015. They were also seen as a couple on the reality show ‘Power Couple’. They had also participated in the popular reality show ‘Bigg Boss’, hosted by Salman Khan. Ashmit participated in ‘Bigg Boss 4’. Whereas, Maheck participated in ‘Bigg Boss 5’ & ‘Bigg Boss Halla Bol’.
They were last seen sharing screen space together in the 2018 film ‘Nirdosh’.
