One of the finest beauties of Indian cinema Madhubala is still remembered for her mesmerizing looks. The Anarkali of Bollywood passed away way early in her life just at the young age of 36 years. Recently her sister Madhur Bhusan opened up about the professional and personal aspects of the actress’s life. In a series of tweets, Yaser Khan revealed what Madhur Bhushan said about the tragedy queen of Bollywood.
From Madhubala’s relationship with the original Devdas of Bollywood Dilip Kumar to her marriage to the legendary Kishore Kumar, Madhur Bhusan narrated the tragic life of her sister.
Madhur Bhusan talked about the beginning of Madhubala’s career as a child artists in the movie ‘Basant’ and her falling in love with the famous actor Premnath. Madhubala’s relationship with Premnath was shortlived and the two broke up merely after dating for six months. Madhur revealed that the two broke up on the grounds of religion. The legendry actress moved on to dating the superstar of that era Dilip Kumar. Madhur Bhusan said that her sister and the evergreen actor Dilip Kumar stayed in a relationship for almost a decade.
Opening up about her sister’s affair with Dilip Kumar, Madhur revealed that after nine long years of relationship they parted ways because of their egos. They were in love but Dilip insisted that Madhubala should leave her father in order to marry him. It was too much of a price for the actress to pay and their relationship ended soon after. The epitome of beauty Madhubala moved on in her life and later married the multi-talented Kishore Kumar. Things turned south when the late actress was diagnosed with ventricular septal defect, a hole in her heart. The doctors said she only had two years to live, post which Kishore left her back at her family house. Madhur opens up and said, Kishore visited her sister once in two months and the reports of him abusing Madhubala are false.
Madhur Bhushan further talked about the legendry actress and said she would never leave the house without a burqa as she was afraid of being mobbed. Madhubala often cried saying she wanted to live and asked when will the doctor find a cure for her condition.
