Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections: Amit Shah cancels roadshow in Bhopal owing to security reasons
Ahead of Madhya Pradesh Assembly elections which is on November 28, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) president Amit Shah, who was scheduled to address a rally and conduct a roadshow in the poll-bound stated on Tuesday, has cancelled the plan due to security reasons.
In Bhopal’s North Assembly constituency the roadshow was slated to take place at 5 pm in support of BJP candidate Fatima Rasool Siddiqui.
Amit Shah was supposed to start the roadshow from the curfewed Mata Mandir Bhavani Chowk to Somvara, Lakharapura, Savarkar Chowk, Peepal Chowk, Sarafa Chowk, Subhash Chowk, Loha Bazar, Jumaratari, Chhote Bhaiya Corner, Hanuman Ganj, Mangalwara, Chhawan Chowk and end it at Bharat Talkies Chauraha.
As per media media reports, the roadshow was cancelled following some reports from intelligence agencies.
The BJP chief had conducted rallies and road shows in the four cities of Satna, Rewa, Sidhi and Umaria in Vindhya in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday.
While addressing a rally on Sunday, at Waidhan in Singrauli district of Madhya Pradesh ahead of the Assembly polls, Mr Shah termed the Congress an ‘ATM’ of false promises, which had no leader or ideology.
Taking opportunity of the moment, he also took a jibe at the opposition party for failing to announce the name of its chief ministerial candidate in the state.
On the same day, while Shah was addressing a campaign rally in Churhat in poll-bound Madhya Pradesh, when he missed out on some crucial details of the names of BJP candidates, he was supposed to be campaigning for, Shah called his aide to the podium and berated him infront of all present at the rally.
on November 28, the 230-member Madhya Pradesh Assembly will go to the polls and the results will be announced on December 11.
