Kylian Mbappe was on target as Paris St-Germain beat arch-rivals Marseille 2-0 to equal Tottenham’s record of 11 straight wins in a league season.
The French champions are on 33 points from 11 matches in Ligue 1, eight points adrift from the second-placed Lille. They matched Spurs’ 11 consecutive victories at the start of the 1960-61 season in Premier League.
Mbappe scored in the 65th minute, while Julian Draxler netted a last-minute goal as PSG marched to a record victory in the league.
Latching on to an Angel di Maria pass, Mbappe showed great pace to beat center-back Boubacar Kamara and slot the ball the past a rushing Steve Mandanda to put PSG ahead in the 65th minute.
The victory was, however, marred by objects thrown at Neymar by the home fans, when he was taking corners for PSG, early in the second half.
