English club Leicester City’s owner’s helicopter crashed outside the King Power Stadium in a car park after it was on its way leaving the ground. This accident happened an hour after Leicester City had drawn 1-1 with West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday.

The club’s owner Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was in the helicopter at the time of the crash, reported a family member to BBC. However, there isn’t any official confirmation about the number of people who were on the helicopter at the time of the crash.
A witness reported that the club’s team goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel was running out of the stadium after the crash took place. Many who were outside the stadium said that they saw the helicopter fly and then go out of control—some describing the horrific picture as a fireball.
The football club said that a detailed statement would be issued and as for now, they would assist the police and the people in emergency.
Ryan Brown, a freelance photographer who had covered the match said that the helicopter had cleared the stadium before it crashed.
“The engine stopped and I turned round and it made a bit of a whirring noise, like a grinding noise.”
“The helicopter just went silent, I turned round and it was just spinning, out of control. And then there was a big bang and then [a] big fireball,” he said, in an interaction with BBC Radio Leicester.
Thai billionaire Srivaddhanaprabha was the owner of the club at the time when they won the Premier League title in 2016.
