League of Legends e-sport player Doran, Chovy join DragonX
The confirmation of Doran and Chovy's collaborating with DragonX is announced by none other than the organisation itself.
Former Griffin top laner and League of Legends (LoL) e-sport player Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon has joined DragonX. The confirmation of Doran’s collaborating with DragonX is announced by none other than the organisation itself.
Droan debuted in the Korean pro scene under KeG Seoul. His debut with Griffin took place in the Summer of 2019. Notably, Doran did not win the LCK with Griffin, he got a second place in his debut year of League of Legends.
Post ongoing controversy and contract mismanagement with the team, though, Doran, as well as several other members of the lineup, parted ways with Griffin.

Doran will now join DragonX next to ADC Kim “Deft” Hyuk-kyu, and newly-promoted trainee support Ryu “Keria” Min-seok and jungler Hong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeont. Besides Doran, former Griffin mid laner Jeong “Chovy” Ji-hoon is also reported to have joined the team.
Owing to their loss against DAMWON gaming in the last round of gauntlet, DRX did not manage to qualify for the 2019 League of Legends Championships. Since their defeat, every member of the team but Kim “Deft” Hyuk-gyu has left the team and making all possible efforts to rebuild their roster.
With the addition of Doran and Chovy, DragonX is likely to be emerged as one of the strongest teams into the 2020 LCK season. They’re essentially a beefier version of Griffin, combined with rookie talent, and prowess in the bot lane.
