Award-winning Broadway star Lea Salonga said that she would not perform at the opening of the Southeast Asian (SEA) Games due to a prior commitment. Salonga said she would be having a series of shows in Singapore for “Sweeney Todd” starting Thursday. This means that she will not be performing at the SEA Games opening ceremonies on Saturday.
Salonga was referring to the play Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. She played the role of Mrs. Lovett in the Manila run last October.
