Melody Queen Lata Mangeshkar was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai a few weeks back. The news sent a shockwave among fans and friends. But after braving a fight against pneumonia, India’s pride has finally returned home. Well-wishers heaved a sigh of relief when the legendary singer returned home after 28 days in a Mumbai hospital. Now, a picture of the legendary singer is viral.

In the picture, she is looking quite weak and frail. The melody queen is sitting in a wheelchair while she is surrounded by a few nurses from the hospital. The picture has left her fans and followers worried.
Sharing her health update, Mangeshkar took to Twitter and wrote, “Namaskaar, For the past 28 days, I was at Breach Candy hospital. I was diagnosed with pneumonia. The doctors preferred that I extend my stay in hospital and go home when completely healthy. Today, I am back home with the blessings of Mai and Baba.”
The singer’s condition was reportedly critical when she was admitted to the hospital a few weeks back. She was also rumoured to have been put on a ventilator. However, the family spokesperson of the singer later released a statement asking all to respect the privacy of the family. Fans are happy that she has returned home but worried as she looks quite weak in the viral picture.
During her almost seven-decade long career, Lata Mangeshkar has sung more than 30,000 songs across languages. She is also a recipient of a number of awards. She received the Bharat Ratna, India’s highest civilian honour, in 2001.
