Kushal Punjabi’s shocking death is a case of suicide

Television and Bollywood actor Kushal Punjabi passed away at the age of 37. The shocking news was shared by actor Karanvir Bohra on Twitter. It is a case of suicide was confirmed by his friends Chetan Hansraj and Karanvir Bohra in a report to Spotboye a few minutes back. Now the police too have confirmed the same.

DCP Paramjit Singh Dahiya in a statement to Spotboye said, “Yes, it is a case of suicide. His parents were trying to reach him since the afternoon. But his phone was unavailable. They waited till night when there was no response, they reached Kushal’s building by 10:30 pm. The actor was alone at home and that’s why they had to break open the door. His body was found hanging from the ceiling. The body has been sent for postmortem and we have filed the case.”

He further added that a suicide note has been found along with the body but Kushal has not blamed anyone for his death.

Kushal is survived by his wife Audrey Dolhen and his three-year-old son. The last rites of the actor will be taking place around 1 pm today.

Kushal had come to limelight after winning the reality show ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’. He has worked in television series such as, ‘Aasman Se Aage’ and many more. He has also been a participant on reality shows, including ‘Fear Factor’, ‘Zor Ka Jhatka’ and ‘Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa’ and many more.

Kushal was seen in Bollywood films such as Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Lakshya’, Karan Johar’s – ‘Kaal’, Utv’s ‘Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal’ and  ‘Salaam-e-ishq’.
