Comedian Kunal Kamra and his parents test positive for COVID-19
Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra said he and his family have tested positive for COVID-19.
On Tuesday, April 6, stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra took to his Twitter handle and informed that he and his family have tested positive for the novel Coronavirus. He revealed that his parents are currently hospitalized, while he is under quarantine.
Sharing the news on Twitter, Kunal Kamra wrote as: “My parents are Covid positive & they’re in a hospital near by. I’m Covid positive quarantined at home. I’ve spoken to everyone who I was in contact with. Me and my family will be fine soon. Please take the second wave very seriously & be super careful ✌🏽✌🏽”

Apart from Kunal, many Bollywood celebrities like- Akshay Kumar, Alia Bhatt, Kartik Aaryan, Ranbir Kapoor, Paresh Rawal, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar, Aamir Khan, R Madhavan have also tested positive for the deadly virus.
India is facing the second wave of the Coronavirus pandemic. The number of deaths climbed to 1,65,547 with 446 people dying of COVID-19 in a span of 24 hours. India is the country with the third-highest coronavirus caseload in the world after the United States and Brazil.
A single-day spike of 96,982 infections, a day after India breached the one-lakh mark in daily cases, has taken the country’s coronavirus caseload to over 1.26 crore, reported Union Health Ministry’s data this morning.
