Kedarnath Bhattacharya popularly known as Kumar Sanu, is one of India’s leading playback singer. He has been booked for singing late night and disturbing the neighbours. This famous Bollywood singer ruled the 90’s with his soulful voice, seems to fall in legal trouble as a FIR has been filed against him.
Kumar Sanu is famous for his iconic songs including ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha To’ and ‘Tujhe Dekha To Ye Jaana Sanam’ was booked for performing late in the night, in a live show in Bihar’s Muzaffarnagar. According to the report, the loud sound had created trouble for the neighbours and they could not sleep because of his singing.
The residents nearby the venue had complained to the police stating that the singer, Kumar Sanu was breaking the law. The FIR has been filed against the organiser of the program, Ankit Kumar as well.
Kumar Sanu had recently been featured in headlines when he revealed that his daughter Shannon was adopted in 2001. Speaking on a reality show, Kumar Sanu said: “I never wanted to disclose this as I was scared of what the society would think. But since now this is out, I’m really proud of Shannon. She is very hardworking and has already achieved so much in her life. A lot of people in Hollywood know me because of her and that is a matter of pride of our family,” reported news agency IANS.
People went crazy when Kumar Sanu sang for 1989 flick ‘Hero Hiralal’. He soon became the hot favourite and went on to croon some major hits for movies like ‘Aashiqui’, ‘Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge’, ‘1942: A Love Story’, ‘Baazigar’, ‘Deewana’, ‘Saajan’ etc.
Kumar Sanu was bestowed the Filmfare Best Male Playback Singer Award for five consecutive years. In the year 2009, Government of India had also awarded him the Padma Shri, India’s fourth-highest civilian honour, in recognition of his achievements.
