Kuldeep Yadav hopeful of inclusion in the Test side
Kuldeep Yadav produced a match winning spell picking up six crucial wickets in 10 overs giving away just 25 runs in the first ODI against England at Nottingham. He was awarded man of the match for this scintillating performance on Thursday. The Kanpur boy looks confident and aspires to play for India in the Test series as well.
Kuldeep Yadav is slowly and gradually becoming the highlight of this long English tour as he picked up his first five wicket hall in the first T20 International just a week ago and repeated the same performance to commence with the three match ODI series. He also achieved the record of becoming the first left arm spinner to pick six wickets in an ODI.

“For me it’s a big day. I started pretty well, luckily I got some early wickets. For me it doesn’t matter where I’m playing. There was a little bit of turn. After the first over I felt in the game”, he said.
Kuldeep Yadav was brought in immediately by skipper Kohli after the 10th over mark. Kuldeep stopped the free flowing runs from English batters and also picked crucial wickets to derail the England innings to a total way below the par score.
The Indian China man has proved to be the difference between the two sides and he aspires to continue in the same fashion if called up for the Test series.
“I am hoping to get the Test call, and then let’s see what happens when the squad is announced in the next couple days,” said Kuldeep referring to the first Test beginning on 1 August.
England will look to find answers yet again when they prepare for the second ODI which will be played at Lord’s on Saturday. The Test series will begin from 1st August.
