Kriti Sanon to play lead role in Hindi remake of ‘Kill Bill’?
According to the latest reports, Kriti Sanon has bagged the lead role in the Hindi remake of the Hollywood film, 'Kill Bill.'
Kriti Sanon is currently in talks for the Hindi adaptation of ‘Kill Bill’ a 2003 American martial arts film written and directed by Quentin Tarantino. Reportedly, producer Nikhil Dwivedi had acquired the rights to remake the film in Hindi and Sanon will be essaying the lead role, originally played by Uma Thurman.
According to a report in Pinkvilla, the Hindi adaptation will be helmed by Anurag Kashyap, “Nikhil has been working closely on the script of Kill Bill adaptation with Anurag Kashyap all through the lockdown. The duo are calling it a homage to the original film and have finally locked a script that does justice to the legacy of the Quentin Tarantino directorial. Anurag and Nikhil have now taken a step ahead to move on to the casting front and initiated conversations with Kriti Sanon to play the lead.”
Further, the report said that Sanon has agreed to do the film and the paperwork too will be done soon.
The report also said that ‘Kill Bill’ will be Kriti’s first action-packed role. “It’s the character of an assassin, termed as the deadliest woman in the world. The action aside, there runs a strong undercurrent of revenge and emotions all through the narrative, much like the original film,” the source added. Reportedly, apart from Sanon, two more actresses will come be joining the film to play key roles.
